Digital Ink Applications

Based on Lorama Polysaccharide Resin Technology (LPRT), InkRes® 33 is a zero VOC resin with a multitude of functions. Its superior humectancy properties enables the formulator to replace hazardous humectant solvents while potentially improving ink transfer through improved re-wettability (flexo) or ink latency (digital print head). The film forming properties of InkRes® 33 allow for total replacement of solution acrylics and simultaneously offer improvements in colour saturation and vibrancy with C, M, Y colours and dramatic improvements in depth of black and jetness with K.

Applications

Flexographic Inks

In Flexographic Ink formulations InkRes® 33 can replace conventional water based solution acrylics, offering better gloss, open time and ink transfer properties.

Digital Inks

In water-based Inkjet formulations InkRes® 33 can replace hazardous solvent based humectants while improving latency and print quality with digital printheads.

Film Printing

Using InkRes® 33 a partial replacement of the self crosslinking acrylic was achieved with no effect on adhesion to film substrate.
